How do I handle Regulatory & Stakeholder comments to best achieve my goals?
While this varies from project to project & across various regulatory agencies & stakeholders, the answer is often the same. There are 10 different ways to solve nearly every scientific question, the answer is which one is defensible while still being economical while also mitigating your future risk. Here at Courtney Consulting LLC I help my clients find those solutions by looking at the various ways to solve problems, & providing you with a la carte options to choose from.
How will you mitigate change orders on my projects?
While no project is immune from “scope creep” & ensuing change orders (I hate that word, don’t you?), I do my best to write succinct proposals that clearly state my costing & scheduling assumptions. When scope creep does present itself I immediately communicate it with my client such that we can be transparent with one another & move forward in manner that does not impact the success of your project.
I also offer a not to exceed lump sum pricing option (versus time & materials) for your consideration which further protects you from change orders by “locking-in” the total price to get the job done.
What sets you apart from your competitors?
There are a lot of smart people in this industry out there, so while I don’t claim to be the smartest what sets me apart is my philosophy & practice of client advocacy, a sensitivity & understanding of their industry & how it drives our economy, & how to effectively & efficiently convince regulators & stakeholders of my client’s position through economically feasible & sound science. I am not here to make your project a science experiment but to get you to the goal line!
As a one man shop how can you handle the needs of a larger project?
Great question…the answer is through my industry connections. My extensive years of local experience has created strong bonds with other professionals & vendors at all experience & background levels. This allows me to team with other consultants, vendors, & contractors while still remaining cost competitive.
Do you take on small projects?
Absolutely! No project is too small for Courtney Consulting LLC. By putting your trust in me on a small “trial” project, hopefully I can gain your trust and loyalty for continued business.
